Purpose
Searching within LATAM Region for a CISO, responsible for developing and implementing an information security program, which includes procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems and assets from both internal and external threats. Develop, implement, and enforce security policies to protect critical data. this position is On Site at El Salvador Office.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and auditing computer networks and IT for potential weak points and implementing solutions
- Establishing security measures to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber attacks
- Developing response protocols for successful cyber attacks
- Crafting disaster recovery plans for compromised data
- Providing ongoing training and continuing education to staff
- Keeping company leadership informed about the state of the network security
- Developing proposals for cybersecurity investments and presenting them to executive leadership
- Working with all business units to determine possible risks and risk management processes.
- Analyzing IT security threats in real-time and mitigating these threats.
- Ensure that newly-acquired technology complies with the IT security regulations.
- Planning, designing, and implementing an IT and network strategy for the company.
- Managing the continuous maintenance of the IT network to ensure optimum security levels are maintained.
- Ensuring that no internal breaches or misuse of data take place.
- Determining the cause of internal and external data breaches and instituting appropriate corrective action
Required Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience in information security, programming, risk management, and/or cybersecurity.
- Proficient in source code programming languages, such as Java, .NET, C++, and C#.
- Proficient in information security management frameworks, such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to a range of audiences
- Leadership and management capabilities knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the organization's information assets.
- Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines, ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, investigate security breaches, and initiate appropriate response and recovery actions.
